We are a small family business based in Bawtry near Doncaster in South Yorkshire. We sell fine confectionery and loose chocolates. We stock mostly hand made products along with giftware and high quality, colourful glassware.
We are proud to showcase our in house Home Fragrance brand Luminessa which includes our handmade premium fragrance products. Every product is made with the utmost care and attention to detail. We are passionate about ensuring our customers receive exceptional products using high quality wax blends and fine fragrances sourced from the UK.
After a career in mental health, our founder Vanessa has always had a keen interest in aromatherapy for wellbeing. As a child, she developed a heightened sense of smell in order to assist her Mum who lost her sense of smell due to an accident in her early life. She then became the nose for two people, describing different scents as colours as a way to communicate the different notes of the fragrance.
Vanessa started to make candles, reed diffusers and room sprays for family and friends as a hobby. The positive feedback she received ignited her passion to create a business that would enable her to reach those who share in her love of fragrance.
She wanted to create a collection of products to appeal to a wide range of people. This took time and patience but the end result was worth the rigorous testing and perfecting of the formulas available today.
The next step was to display the products in a physical store which opened in December 2024.
The core range of fragrances are inspired by personal memories from places and times gone by. They are characterised by colours and are endearingly named to capture their individuality.
